Papagayo Do It Center

established in 2005 by philanthropist John Scheman, is a Costa Rican family-run charitable organization dedicated to enhancing education in rural areas. The foundation collaborates with local schools to upgrade facilities, ensuring safety and promoting effective learning experiences.

Additionally, we partner with Clinica Biblica and hospitals nationwide to supply wheelchairs to individuals who cannot afford them, spearheading initiatives to raise awareness for the needs of people with physical disabilities. Our goal is to provide a wheelchair for every person in need who lacks the financial means to obtain one.

We maintain a strategic partnership with the Free Wheelchair Mission in California and have supported over 25,000 families with members living with disabilities. Furthermore, we have established strategic alliances with the Costa Rican government, Guanacaste municipalities, the Red Cross, Hospital Clinica Biblica, and numerous other national institutions.
